Hong Kong International Airport (Chek Lap Kok, HKG) is one of Asia’s major international hubs, anchored by Cathay Pacific and the oneworld network, with strong regional roles for HK Express, Hong Kong Airlines, Greater Bay Airlines and cargo operators. It is not a domestic-style airport: most useful traffic is international, mainland China, regional Asia-Pacific and long-haul connecting traffic. For frequent flyers, HKG’s strengths are its fast Airport Express link to Central, efficient airside people-mover system and deep lounge scene, especially Cathay’s home-base lounges.
