Noi Bai International Airport HANVVNB

Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) is Hanoi’s main airport and the principal air gateway for northern Vietnam. It is a Vietnam Airlines hub and therefore a useful SkyTeam connecting point; VietJet Air, Bamboo Airways and other Vietnamese carriers also make HAN important for domestic and regional flying. The airport is straightforward by Asian-hub standards: Terminal 1 handles domestic flights, Terminal 2 handles international flights, and terminal changes are landside. For the city, a taxi or Grab is usually the most practical choice, taking roughly 35–50 minutes to central Hanoi in normal traffic; airport buses are useful if time matters less. Transit is easiest on protected through-tickets with bags checked through. Self-connections, especially international-to-domestic or domestic-to-international, need a conservative buffer because they can involve immigration, baggage claim, customs, a terminal transfer and fresh security. Lounge coverage is better than the airport’s size might suggest, with Vietnam Airlines Lotus lounges as the flagship option and several contract lounges used by bank-card and lounge-program passengers.
