Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport XMNZSAM

Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (XMN) sits on the north side of Xiamen Island and is best understood as a strong regional hub rather than a mega-hub. It is the home base of XiamenAir, a SkyTeam member, and also has meaningful domestic and regional activity from carriers such as China Eastern, Shandong Airlines and Spring Airlines. The airport handles domestic, Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan and international flights, with selected long-haul services appearing in the airport’s published destination lists. Civil operations are still at Gaoqi as of 2026-06-21, while the new Xiamen Xiang’an airport is under development for the future. For travelers, the key operational point is the split-terminal setup: T3 is the international/regional terminal and the main terminal for XiamenAir/China Southern/Hebei Airlines group operations; T4 is mainly for other mainland domestic flights. Always check the terminal on your boarding pass because a wrong-terminal arrival can cost time.
