Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) is Taiwan’s main international gateway and a practical connecting point between North America, Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia. It is not the airport to use for Taiwan domestic flights; those generally use Taipei Songshan (TSA) or other local airports. TPE is a major home base for China Airlines (SkyTeam), EVA Air (Star Alliance), STARLUX Airlines and Tigerair Taiwan, with a mix of regional Asia services and long-haul flights to North America, Europe and Oceania. For frequent flyers, the airport is manageable but terminal-dependent: EVA is concentrated in Terminal 2, while China Airlines and STARLUX are split by route, so always confirm the operating carrier and terminal before heading out.
