Where to Base
It is recommended to stay near Poblacion (the city center). This area concentrates most hotels and guesthouses, allowing walking distance to the Central Market, City Hall, and key dining spots. It offers the best convenience for transportation and daily life, serving as an ideal base for experiencing local culture.
Getting Around
Tabuk lacks a major international airport. Travelers typically fly into nearby Basco Airport (BDA) or via San Fernando, then transfer to jeepneys or taxis to reach the city center. Since attractions are scattered, renting a motorcycle or hiring a private car is advisable for exploring the surrounding mountainous areas effectively.
Best Season
The dry season (November to May) is the optimal time to visit, offering clear skies and dry conditions ideal for hiking and visiting tribal villages. The rainy season (June to October) brings slippery mountain roads, and some trails to the terraces may close; check road conditions before traveling during this period.
