Where to Base
It is recommended to stay near Jiaoxi Old Street or the core hot spring district. This area offers abundant dining options, convenient transportation, and walking access to many well-known onsen resorts and night markets, allowing guests to easily immerse themselves in local culture.
Getting Around
Jiaoxi has no airport; the nearest major hub is Taoyuan International Airport. From Taipei, take the Taiwan Railways Administration train to Jiaoxi Station, which takes approximately 40 minutes. Within the township, attractions and hotels are scattered, so combining taxis or rental cars is advisable for efficient travel between onsen facilities and sightseeing spots.
Best Season
The best time to visit is during autumn and winter (October to March). Cooler temperatures enhance the hot spring experience, providing a cozy atmosphere. This period also avoids the heat and typhoon risks of summer, offering a more tranquil and comfortable stay for wellness-focused travelers.
