Rafael Nunez International Airport CTGSKCG
Rafael Nunez International Airport (CTG) is Cartagena’s compact city airport in the Crespo neighborhood, about 10 minutes by road from the historic center and convention area. It is best understood as a Caribbean Colombia gateway and point-to-point airport, not a major global connecting hub. Avianca is an important operator, but its main hub is Bogota; Star Alliance connectivity also comes via Copa through Panama City, while LATAM, JetSMART/Wingo and several North American and European carriers add regional and international links. For frequent flyers, the airport is convenient because it is close to town, but connections can feel less polished than at Bogota or Panama: international arrivals normally mean immigration, customs and re-screening if you are continuing, and self-connects need conservative buffers.
