Scandic Friends is the loyalty program for Scandic hotels, operated within Scandic Hotels Group AB. Members earn friendship points at a high level through point-qualifying nights, food and drink or hotel-shop purchases charged to the room during a qualifying stay, hotel extras booked through Scandic’s website, and selected partner activity; Scandic states that points from Scandic Friends Mastercard and selected partners can be useful for spending but do not boost level status. The program has seven levels: New Friend, Good Friend, Close Friend, Dear Friend, Loyal Friend, True Friend, and Best Friend. Officially described benefits include member rates, weekend food discounts, a kids mocktail during stays, late checkout when available, restaurant vouchers or points, early check-in when available, room-upgrade priority, breakfast benefits, a 48-hour room guarantee, priority support, free pet rooms when available, the ability for higher tiers to gift Loyal Friend status, and Best Friend extras such as a yearly gift and kids’ boost.
