Yain

€€Traditional Cuisine

Yain is a must for cod-lovers, featuring an à la carte with “media-ración” options alongside many other cod-inspired dishes such as cod with sea urchin cream and seafood spaghetti; cod gratin with Jiloca saffron, tomatoes and orange confit; cod with cauliflower cream and fried pancetta; and grilled cod with curried lentils. This is complemented by two tasting menus (Esencia and Epicure) requiring advance booking, and one “executive” menu only available at lunchtime midweek.

Método

€€€Contemporary

In this modern restaurant, located along a pedestrian street in the centre of Teruel’s old quarter, you will find a modern proposal with some touches of fusion. The extensive à la carte, which basically revolves around two premium products, Balfegó tuna and Wagyu beef (the cattle are raised locally on the Mudéjar Wagyu farm), is supported by a tasting menu called Temático de Atún (through a variety of hot and cold dishes, you can discover the different types of cuts). Here they take great care in the staging!

Método in Teruel offers contemporary dining with mixed reception. Food quality is polarizing; while many praise the innovative use of local ingredients and exceptional dishes like bluefin tuna, others criticize the excessive rawness, flavor sacrifice for presentation, and limited options. Service is generally described as attentive and efficient, though some experienced delays due to poor management. Ambiance ranges from elegant to unappealing. Value perceptions vary significantly, with some finding it worthwhile and others dissatisfied with charges for basic items like bread. Overall, it is a high-concept restaurant that may not suit all palates.

Recommended for adventurous diners seeking avant-garde cuisine.
