Sinaia is a mountain resort town in Prahova County, Romania, nestled in the foothills of the Bucegi Mountains. Historically significant as the site of the 1695 Sinaia Monastery and the late 19th-century Peleș Castle built by King Carol I, it served as a royal summer residence. With altitudes ranging from 767 to 860 meters, the town offers a cool climate ideal for hiking and winter sports like downhill skiing. Key landmarks include Peleș Castle, Pelișor Castle, the Sinaia Casino, and the Franz Joseph and Saint Anne Cliffs. The composer George Enescu also spent summers here at the Luminiș villa.
