Where to Base
The Original Village of Sechelt offers a compact commercial district near the Shíshálh Nation Government, ideal for dining and shopping. For beach access, consider Davis Bay or West Sechelt, which provide closer proximity to the Pacific shoreline and quieter accommodations.
Getting Around
Access requires a 40-minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale, followed by a 25-minute drive on Highway 101. Neighborhoods such as Selma Park, Tillicum Bay, and West Porpoise Bay are spread out, making car rental the most efficient way to explore the peninsula.
Best Season
Summer offers pleasant weather ideal for coastal walks and reliable ferry schedules. Winter brings rain but fewer crowds, allowing for peaceful bay views. The mild climate makes it visitable year-round, though summer is peak for outdoor activities.
