Near Mouscron railway station in a relatively nondescript neighbourhood, it comes as something of a surprise to find this contemporary restaurant and its cosy vibe. The chef adds a modern twang to classical recipes, deploying his technical skills and generous personality. He might pair lightly seared calf’s sweetbread, sliced into escalopes, with a warm espuma of lobster sabayon, girolle mushrooms and grilled langoustine. Be forewarned: deciding between the mouthwatering à la carte and set menus is an almost heartrending exploit!
