Choose Old Manali for a walkable, bohemian vibe with riverside cafes and heritage charm. Opt for New Manali if you prefer modern hotel amenities, easier road access, and proximity to shops and adventure tour operators. New Manali is also less congested during peak seasons.

Connectivity: From Delhi

Manali has no commercial airport. The standard route involves flying from Delhi to Bhuntar (KUU) or Chandigarh, followed by a 4-5 hour drive. Alternatively, take an overnight bus or car from Delhi, which takes approximately 12 hours. Road conditions can be challenging in winter; verify transport availability before booking.

Best Season to Visit

March to June offers mild weather ideal for trekking and sightseeing. September to November provides clear skies and stunning autumn views. December to February is perfect for snow lovers and skiing, but some high-altitude roads may close due to heavy snowfall. Check local conditions if traveling in winter.
