Where to Base
It is recommended to stay in traditional stone guesthouses or boutique hotels in the village center. These accommodations are often converted from historic buildings, offering an authentic local experience within walking distance of main attractions and the central square.
Getting Around
The village has no airport or train station. The nearest transportation hubs are in Kalamata or Patras. A rental car or taxi is required for access. Village roads are narrow, so walking is the best way to explore and fully appreciate the ancient atmosphere.
Best Season
Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) offer pleasant weather, ideal for hiking and sightseeing. Summers can be hot but nights are cool. Some facilities may close in winter, but this period offers the most authentic local lifestyle experience.
