With its tasteful blend of historical features and upscale minimalist modern design, this former Capuchin monastery provides a wonderful setting for the restaurant. In the open kitchen, the team champions ingredients from Central Switzerland, supplemented by produce from the Alpine region. The evening features an appealing à la carte selection alongside a four-course "Tavolata" for the whole table, available as a surprise menu or with a main course of your own choice. In summer, the secluded monastery terrace is especially lovely. Breakfast is also served, with a regional "monastery breakfast"

After 33 years, the business has changed hands, but new owners Lukas and Evelyn Christen are committed to keeping the tradition alive. The menu continues to feature both regional and international dishes. Look out for the label "Guets vo hie" on the menu, which indicates the local specialities such as topside beef carpaccio with horseradish, red onions and fried mushrooms. The courtyard terrace is especially pleasant. Tip: This pretty restaurant also makes an ideal venue for weddings and other celebrations.
