Food quality receives mixed reviews; while many praise fresh clams, goose barnacles, and sea bass, others report poor taste or reheated dishes. Service is generally attentive, with staff like Tino and Manuel frequently commended, though some guests experienced pacing issues and poor seating. €€Galician
A unique restaurant with a modern feel in the upper part of town, hence its impressive views of the port, estuary and Langosteira beach. Ó Fragón’s up-to-date cuisine is inspired by availability in the market and at the fish auction and is presented on an à la carte (with dishes designed for sharing) and through a tasting menu (10 courses), with almost the entire proposal revolving around fish, seafood and organic vegetables. Aside from the desserts, an interesting footnote is the excellent choice of artisanal Galician cheeses, served with delicious homemade bread.

In the beautiful dining room, which has been converted from what was once the stable, you will be offered a unique surprise menu with simple yet well-balanced and elegant dishes. Although they use ingredients from the nearby coast and meadows, the vegetables take centre stage. The access road is very attractive, as it partly runs alongside the Santa Uxia reservoir!

€€€Farm to table
Once in a while you come across a truly pleasant surprise in a rural setting run by chefs who have returned to their roots with the sole aim of showcasing what they have learnt elsewhere. This is definitely the case with couple Fernando and Eva, two cooks (although she is also in charge of the dining room service) who have restored her grandmother’s house and created their own vegetable garden (which also includes a greenhouse). Their contemporary cuisine has plenty of personality and is centred around a single seasonal vegetarian menu. We loved the roasted aubergines with miso!
