Before choosing where to stay

Where to Base

Given its small size, accommodation options are limited to bed-and-breakfasts and small hotels. Staying near the town center is recommended for easy walking access to historic sites and the surrounding countryside, allowing guests to enjoy the quiet, authentic Italian village atmosphere.

Getting Around

There is no direct airport access. Travelers typically fly into Perugia or Rome and then transfer by car or train. The town and its immediate surroundings are best explored on foot or by rental car, as public transport is limited. Planning ahead for ground transportation is essential for a smooth stay.

Best Season

Spring and autumn offer mild weather, perfect for leisurely walks and visiting nearby historical sites. Summer can be hot but less crowded, while winter is quiet with some facilities potentially closed. The region is accessible year-round, but spring and fall provide the most comfortable conditions for exploration.

This complex, which also includes two junior suites and seven guestrooms, dates back to the early 17C and was commissioned by the Church as a stopping off point for travellers on their way to Rome. For many years now, the restaurant has been run by a Venetian family with twin brothers (both highly experienced) working in the kitchen and a third brother, a sommelier, at the helm in the dining room. The cuisine is inspired by local and Venetian traditions, with a modern approach to the combinations of flavours (including home-grown herbs) and to the presentation of its delicious, generous dishes
