Mexico City International Airport MEXMMMX
Mexico City International Airport (MEX), officially Benito Juarez International Airport, is the main airport for Mexico City and a major gateway for domestic Mexico, the Americas, Europe and selected long-haul routes. It is Aeromexico’s primary hub and therefore the key SkyTeam connecting point in Mexico; Volaris and Viva also operate substantial schedules here, while many foreign Star Alliance, oneworld and independent carriers use Terminal 1. The airport is operationally compact on paper, with only Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, but the terminals sit on opposite sides of the airfield, so terminal changes are a real connection factor. For most travelers heading into the historic centre, Metrobus Line 4 is the most predictable option because it directly serves both terminals and runs into central Mexico City; allow roughly 35-50 minutes to the centre in normal conditions, and more buffer at peak times.
