Barcelona El Prat Airport BCNLEBL
Barcelona El Prat (BCN) is Catalonia’s main international airport and a major Mediterranean gateway. It is especially important for Vueling and the wider IAG presence in Barcelona, with Iberia, LEVEL and many partner carriers also operating there; it is not a classic single-alliance mega-hub, but oneworld, Star Alliance, SkyTeam and independent long-haul airlines are all represented. The airport works well for Europe, domestic Spain, North Africa and selected intercontinental routes, but connections depend heavily on whether you stay inside one terminal. T1 is the main full-service and long-haul terminal; T2 is more low-cost/charter focused. A free 24-hour shuttle links T1 and T2, but inter-terminal connections generally mean leaving the secure/international transit area, so build in time for documents, security and baggage rules.
