Shenyang Taoxian International Airport SHEZYTX

Shenyang Taoxian International Airport (SHE) is the main airport for Shenyang and a key gateway for Liaoning and northeast China, about 20 km south of the city centre. It is best understood as a strong regional hub rather than a global mega-hub: China Southern is the most prominent hub/base carrier here, while alliance presence is mixed and flight-by-flight rather than a single dominant global-alliance campus. The network is domestic-heavy, with regional international services to places such as Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia, plus some longer international links that can vary by season and schedule. Passenger handling is concentrated in Terminal 3; the older T1/T2 are not used as normal public passenger terminals, so most travellers do not need a terminal-transfer plan. Metro Line 2 now connects directly with the airport, making rail the most predictable way into central Shenyang.
