Hercilio Luz International Airport FLNSBFL

Hercílio Luz International Airport (FLN), branded Floripa Airport, is Florianópolis’ main airport and a practical gateway to Santa Catarina’s island resorts. It is not a major global hub and has no big alliance hub operation, but it is important regionally: Azul, GOL and LATAM anchor domestic flying, while Copa and TAP add Star Alliance-linked international options alongside South American regional and seasonal services. The current passenger terminal opened in 2019 and works as a single-terminal setup, so transfers are mainly about clearing security, immigration and baggage rather than changing buildings. Downtown Florianópolis is about 12 km away; ride-hail or taxi is usually the easiest frequent-flyer option, with buses available for travelers who have more time.
