China → Isle of Man
A mainland China ordinary passport alone is not visa-free for a short tourist or business visit; a visitor visa is required before travel.
The UK Visitor visa-national list includes the People’s Republic of China; Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR passports are listed as exceptions. If a visa is granted, the traveller must still meet the genuine visitor requirements, including leaving at the end of the visit, not working, and having sufficient funds.

- Visa-free· uk_visa
A person who already holds valid UK entry clearance, permission to enter, or permission to stay is not required to obtain an ETA; travel and stay must comply with the validity, territorial scope, and conditions of that permission. This does not mean that a US, Schengen, Japanese visa, or APEC card substitutes for an Isle of Man/UK visitor visa.

Common questions
No. The official Visitor visa-national list includes the People’s Republic of China as requiring a visitor visa in advance; the China-related exceptions listed are Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR passports, and a US visa is not listed as a visitor visa waiver.
Usually no ETA is needed. The ETA rules state that a person who already holds valid entry clearance, permission to enter, or permission to stay is not required to obtain an ETA; however, a mainland Chinese passport remains visa-national, so the traveller must hold a valid visa or other valid permission.
Usually no visitor visa is required, but an ETA is required. The UK Visitor visa-national list excepts Hong Kong SAR passport holders from the PRC visa-national listing, and the ETA national list includes Hong Kong SAR.
If the Taiwan passport includes the national identification number issued by the competent authority in Taiwan, the holder can normally visit visa-free for up to 6 months, but must obtain an ETA first; Taiwan passports without that number remain on the Visitor visa-national list.
