Visa required

A PRC ordinary passport alone requires an Israeli visitor visa before short tourist or business travel; stay is governed by the visa and border decision.

Israel's visa policy states visitors need a visa unless they are from a visa-exempt country/territory and obtain ETA-IL; PRC ordinary passports are not listed as visa-exempt.

Common questions

Can a Chinese passport holder with a valid U.S. visa enter Israel visa-free?

No visa-free waiver was found. Israel's rule is that visitors need an Israeli visa unless they are from a visa-exempt country/territory and obtain ETA-IL; PRC ordinary passports are not on the visa-exempt list. Israel also is not listed among countries accepting a U.S. visitor visa as a substitute visa.

Can a Chinese passport holder with a U.S. green card, Schengen visa, UK visa or Japan visa enter Israel visa-free?

I found no sourced waiver showing those documents exempt a PRC passport holder from an Israeli visa. The bare-passport outcome remains that an Israeli visitor visa is required in advance.

Is there any special condition for Taiwan passports entering Israel visa-free?

Yes. The source states the visa-free treatment applies only to Taiwan passports that include a personal identification number; ETA-IL is also required.

Does a U.S. passport holder need a visa for tourist or business travel to Israel?

For short tourism, business or short study, U.S. passport holders are generally visa-free for up to 90 days, but must obtain ETA-IL before travel from 2025-01-01.
