Entry & visa

China → Colombia

Visa required

For short tourism or business, a bare ordinary PRC passport is not on Colombia's visa-exempt List A/B; China is on the conditional-exemption list, so a Colombian visitor visa is required unless a qualifying U.S. or Schengen visa/residence document is held.

Colombian visas can be requested online; see exemptions for conditional waivers.

⏱ After the online form, documents and study-fee payment are completed, the visa authority has up to 30 calendar days to issue a decision; after approval and issuance-fee payment, the e-visa is issued within 10 business days. 📍 Apply online through the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs SITAC system; if outside Colombia, select the Colombian consulate nearest to the applicant’s current place of legal residence. Attend in person only if requested by email; visas are generally electronic, and a passport sticker is printed only if the authority considers it necessary.

Mainland Chinese passports appear in Colombia’s conditional visa-exemption list; if the exemption does not apply, apply for a Visitor V visa and select Turismo or Negocios according to purpose. Foreign documents other than passports generally need apostille/legalization and official Spanish translation unless an official exception applies.
