Description
Set within the well-known Hotel Telegraaf, in the heart of the Old Town, this glass-roofed restaurant has something of a celebratory feel, courtesy of a beautiful chandelier and walls hung with gilt-framed pictures. To the side of the hotel is its large summer terrace, while at the head of the room a living wall, set behind glass, brings the outside inside year-round. Refined cooking has a classical French base with Russian influences and modern overtones – the Siberian dumplings, which come with the likes of horseradish beurre blanc, are a must-try.

Review summary
Located in the Telegraph Hotel, Tchaikovsky offers Russian-French cuisine in a luxurious setting. Reviews highlight exquisite food presentation, attentive service, and special touches like custom drinks and birthday cards. However, some guests report slow pacing, long waits for drinks and entrees, and limited vegan options. While the ambiance is refined, critics note it can feel touristy and question the value for money. It suits those seeking a formal, celebratory dining experience, provided they are patient with potential service delays.
Best for
Suitable for special occasions, though patience for service delays is advised.
