Description
A new home for this historic restaurant, with minimalist interiors that embrace a full‑on oriental aesthetic to showcase authentic Japanese cuisine. A set menu at lunch and à la carte at dinner from which we recommend the Makimoto rolls of amberjack with shiso leaves, sesame seeds and freshly marinated wasabi. Or the festive Sukiyaki, a Japanese take on a bourguignon where meat and vegetables are cooked in a simmering broth at the table and shared among guests. The menu is extensive and rich with other succulent offerings from the Land of the Rising Sun.

Review summary
Osaka, a traditional Japanese restaurant in Milan, is renowned for its fresh sashimi and sushi, with some considering it among the best in Northern Italy. However, reviews have polarized since the move to a new location. Positive feedback highlights warm service, a friendly atmosphere, and authentic cuisine. Conversely, negative reviews cite a less welcoming environment, unprepared staff, inconsistent meal pacing, and a perceived drop in food quality. While previously recommended by the Michelin Guide, recent complaints regarding value and management changes suggest the dining experience now varies significantly depending on the specific visit.
Best for
Suitable for diners prioritizing high-quality sashimi who can tolerate service variability; verify current standards before visiting.
