Description
Part of the Señorío de Barahonda estate, with views of the surrounding vineyards. Here, in the shape of two tasting menus (Caliza and Arcilla), chef Alejandro Ibáñez showcases cooking from the local terroir (albeit through more modern eyes) that is based around ingredients sourced from the local area and his own garden (we particularly liked the pigeon royale and liver flan, as well as the grilled aubergine with Jerusalem artichoke ice-cream, caramel and pine nuts). To enjoy the experience to the full, we suggest joining the wine tour before you eat.

Review summary
Barahonda is praised for its modern cuisine, high-quality dishes, and generous portions. Guests appreciate the innovative flavors and elegant presentation. Service is generally excellent, with staff like Ramón and Andrea providing detailed explanations that enhance the experience. The atmosphere is calm and suitable for conversation. However, some reviews note issues with meal pacing and limited wine variety or depth in tasting notes. While overall ratings are high (4.7/5), a minority find the value questionable, particularly regarding wine pairing costs.
Best for
Ideal for diners seeking high-quality modern cuisine, detailed dish explanations, and a quiet atmosphere.
