Set inside a fine stone building overlooking a peaceful canal, this spacious, elegant restaurant is packed with charm. There are period features aplenty across the sitting area and the two dining rooms, where the self-taught chef serves dishes with a modern approach. Hake with fermented lettuce is something of a favourite, as are the fabulous Parker House roles, and puddings are a highlight too.
