The Palacio de la Magdalena Hotel, a paradigm of palatial architecture, was built by Don Juan de Llano Ponte, Bishop of Oviedo, in the mid-18th century. A chapel dedicated to Mary Magdalene was later added, giving the estate its name. The hotel, as it stands today, opened in August 2007. Located on the highest point of Soto del Barco, it offers convenient access to Oviedo (48 km), Avilés (12 km), Gijón (43 km), and Asturias Airport (6 km). A variety of rooms caters to both corporate and private needs. The hotel's spa is a haven of serenity where guests can relax and rejuvenate. Please note: The bar and restaurant are closed on Mondays.
