The open kitchen turns out unpretentious Italian fare, with lunch kept simple and more choice at dinnertime. Pasta is a highlight – try the rich and creamy carbonara with crispy bacon and parmesan. Save room for the house-made tiramisu, which is not overly sweet. Piano performances on Thu and Sun make this a great place to meet.

Nestling in a stately 20th-century villa, An's Saigon is fairly out of the way, so you’ll need a cab to get there. The restaurant is divided into three zones: the garden and the lounge serve breakfast, lunch and a dinner tasting menu, while the L-shaped eight-seat Chef’s Table offers an intimate experience and a more personalised menu inspired by Vietnamese culture and nature.
