This friendly bistro in the heart of this small coastal village occupies a charming building opposite the church. The space has been completely renovated in a contemporary style, while retaining nods to the past. Based on dishes for sharing and Celtic ingredients, the food bears the hallmark of Christophe Le Fur (Auberge Grand'Maison). Order a delicious pâté en croûte-style poultry and foie gras terrine, followed by a generous and perfectly indulgent house-made tiramisu for dessert. In the heart of Saint-Brieuc, not far from the train station, this modern and welcoming restaurant promises a light and inventive culinary experience: chicken pâté en croûte with dried apricots and red onion confit; fish from the fish market, kasha risotto and Béarnaise cream; vanilla Mont Blanc, calamansi jelly and blackcurrant sorbet – a refreshingly indulgent treat.

This attractive old building with a grey granite façade stands in the town centre. Inside, contemporary features are woven into the original decor to great effect; there is also a quiet patio terrace. In the kitchen, the chef continues to cook traditional dishes – at reasonable prices. Most are served in individual cocottes, the slow-cooked pork loin being a case in point.

Chef Sébastien David signs an enticing score using top-notch, mainly local Brittany ingredients. Expertly balanced flavours, consummate cooking and a sprinkling of bold combinations define the score: pollock paired with papaya-samphire-marjoram seasoning or a fennel-themed dessert flanked by a white chocolate ganache and bergamot seasoning. This painstaking attention to detail is also mirrored in the bright, relaxed interior whose pleasant lounge-dining area is set in a conservatory, adding both warmth and light to this town centre establishment.
