A family business run with great warmth and commitment, where everyone pitches in. A father-and-son team is in charge of the kitchen, serving up a contemporary take on classic dishes in a five- to seven-course set menu. Dishes such as female duck breast with celeriac, pickled plum and crispy cannelloni are rooted in French culinary tradition and showcase in-season and regional ingredients. This is the somewhat simpler and entirely regionally oriented alternative to the Gründler family's small restaurant Gourmet Stüberl. Also located in the Hotel Alpin, the same high cooking standards apply – the food is clearly structured, very carefully prepared and fresh as can be. Shining examples include trout carpaccio, radish, caviar, pumpkin, crab crunch, or lamb liver, apple, potato cream, peas, bacon. The space is bright, the atmosphere friendly, the service attentive and proficient. The excellent wine list has over 250 labels, with Austria particularly well represented.
