Casa de Canedo
The Casa de Canedo, also known as Casa do Barreiro, is a charming manor house located in Terras de Basto, a region renowned for its natural beauty and exquisite wines. The house, with its striking yellow ochre contrasting against the original grey granite and lush greenery, dates back to the 17th century. Originally belonging to the Axe de Andrade family, it was later acquired by Fernando Rau of Basto's Agricultural Society. Set within a sprawling 90-hectare estate dedicated to forestry and wine production, the Casa de Canedo features a beautifully designed square with intricate plant architecture and a tranquil interior courtyard.
