San Martino
Seafood · ★ Michelin

San Martino is a classic and elegant grand restaurant with timeless appeal, which makes your dining experience here truly memorable. The restaurant boasts two important characters: Paolo Colleoni who, with his extensive knowledge and skills, is the perfect front-of-house host, welcoming guests with joy and enthusiasm and always finding exactly the right words; and, at the helm in the kitchen, Stefano Locatelli, a chef who is equally at ease with the restaurant’s historic dishes (the restaurant has held a Michelin star for decades) and more modern creations. The chef’s Amalfi origins re-emerge in great style in this restaurant at the gates of Bergamo, with a chiefly seafood cuisine of great quality. From raw seafood to spaghetti with sea urchins and breadcrumbs, from seabream to the fish of the day, it is a feast for the palate, culminating in the desserts. The quality of the leavened products is noteworthy, from bread to focaccia with oregano and cherry tomatoes. The wine list is good too, starting with the selection of Champagnes.

Da Vittorio
italian · ★★★ Michelin

Now among the most celebrated restaurants in Italy, Da Vittorio has retained the warmth of its delightfully familial management. Both in the kitchen and in the dining room, members of the Cerea family are ever-present, and the dishes themselves speak to their talent for elevating top-quality ingredients into beautifully presented, deeply flavorful recipes, all in pursuit of a comforting, satisfying style of cooking. Generosity is another hallmark here, evident from the breadth of the offering! In addition to the à la carte menu, guests may choose from 4 tasting menus: “Gli esordi di papà Vitto

A refined restaurant where the design plays with tables and seating of varied, original craftsmanship, yet it is the cuisine that captures attention, thanks to the talent of Filippo Moriggi. The starters are the calling card: an exotic-tinged journey that surprises with the fish bao, a soft steamed bun also available with BBQ sauce, or with the empanadas chilena, filled with white Sorrento scamorza, shrimp, and coriander-cumin mayonnaise. The journey continues toward more familiar flavors: well-executed pastas and risottos, fish dishes, and Bergamo lamb, leading to desserts that play on the fr

Cut
Italian Contemporary, Seasonal Cuisine

Situated right in the heart of the Bergamo plain in the small town of Caravaggio, famous for the painter of the same name and for a much-visited pilgrim shrine, this welcoming restaurant boasts a modern decor and vintage furnishings. At lunchtime, it serves a good, competitively priced business menu, while in the evening the more elaborate à la carte features contemporary-style meat and fish dishes (mostly the latter).

Tre Noci

€€
Situated in the centre of a village in the Bassa Bergamasca area, this long-established, family-run restaurant has a rustic decor softened by the owners’ female touch. The overall feel is that of an elegant trattoria, which provides a pleasant backdrop for delicious specialities from this lowland region, including meat cooked over the large grill in the dining room. There’s also a gazebo for alfresco dining in summer.

The name of this restaurant discreetly hidden away in an alleyway on the edge of the town centre is a dialect word meaning “old bachelor”. Small tables set close together give the ambience of a French brasserie and provide the setting for modern, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. There’s a simpler menu at lunchtime, including salads, tapas and sandwiches, while more choice is available in the evening. Lively atmosphere.

A bastion of tradition for over a hundred years, Art Nouveau furnishings and a retro atmosphere are the accompaniment to Brescian classics and familiar recipes: always based on seasonal ingredients, as in the case of the many vegetables from their own garden, from which the Evo oil also comes. The wine list offers a wide selection of labels from Franciacorta, Barolo and Barbaresco: true passion of the owner Massimo!
