You will feel at home here for a number of reasons. Not only can you enjoy the modern, classic and seasonal cuisine showcasing local produce, but there is also the friendly, attentive service that comes courtesy of the owner and her team, who also know their way around the wine list. The elegantly pared-down interior is equally inviting, not to mention the beautiful garden with shaded seating that draws diners in summer. Well-kept guestrooms are available should you wish to stay the night.

To start with, the location on a 45ha estate is terrific. The cosy space with a tiled stove that draws the eye exudes rustic charm and a certain chic. Specialities include various dishes featuring meat from bison they have reared on their own farm. Note: On Mondays only bison burgers, or veggie burgers, are served. Tip: the marvellous terrace with a view of the countryside! There is also the ‘WILD X BERG’ restaurant, where you can enjoy a three or four-course menu on Saturdays from 6 p.m. The small Lammershof hotel, the main building of which dates from 1709, has cosy guestrooms.
