The atmosphere in the wood-panelled dining rooms is really cosy, the service is very friendly, the cuisine is ambitious and tasty – the emphasis is on regional ingredients and seasonal produce. Set in the centre of this Black Forest village, this attractive restaurant dating back to 1748 is popular for its robust cuisine with classic foundations and plenty of flavour – the sauces are also fantastic! This is all testament to the skill of owner Thomas Zimmermann, who uses select ingredients in his dishes. The atmosphere, too, is just right, thanks to the lovely decor and the exceedingly friendly, attentive hostess. Tip: There are also some individually designed, upscale guestrooms for overnight stays.
