Ciel à Table

On the church square in this village in the Toulouse Conurbation, this typical pink brick building has now been extended by a large room with a glass roof and a patio shaded by a chestnut tree and a lime tree. The light-filled restaurant room boasts contemporary decor and a large open kitchen. The cuisine reflects the style of the place, flirting with the zeitgeist, in dishes such as Mediterranean tuna bao with notes of sesame, or pigeon served two ways: the leg confit and the supreme cooked whole. Attentive and alert service.

At this small restaurant in an old building with exposed brick and pebble interior walls, diners have two options: excellent value for money at lunchtime or more elaborate cuisine in the evening with the single set menu. The new chef, who has a particular fondness for France's South-West, makes the best seasonal ingredients the focus of his set menus: grilled green asparagus, roast fillet of duckling, bluefin tuna from Saint-Jean-de-Luz etc. Attentive service.
