This restaurant, located in an old antique shop in the centre of the village, cannot fail but delight: a contemporary, elegant interior, a patio-terrace ideal in fine weather, and at the helm, a young couple who offer market-inspired dishes like this grilled octopus with black garlic and fregola sarda pasta, or rump of veal with polenta and cardamom.

Bruno Verjus's approach is to select the finest ingredients and cook them with humility and the utmost respect. This remarkable character was previously an entrepreneur, blogger and food critic. Behind the counter (where diners are seated on comfortable bar stools), he waxes lyrical about his suppliers and the desire to take a back seat to the artisans who produce what he then cooks – on that note, when it comes to either the recipes or the ingredients, the chef considers himself to be a "middle man". A stone's throw from the Marché d'Aligre, the navy-blue façade of this restaurant conceals a vintage interior strewn with Art deco details that is reminiscent of a Parisian apartment and which is the work of Argentinian architect Marcelo Joulia. In the heart of this charming borough, on a pedestrian square near the town hall, a pocket-sized restaurant run by a young chef with an impressive cv. After stints in the kitchens of Yannick Alléno, Jean-François Piège and Guy Savoy, chef Alexis Voisenet decided to make his own mark by opening this restaurant in the casemates of the old fort of Issy-les-Moulineaux. The restaurant’s name is a fusion of the chef’s first name, Mory, and that of Yasuke, the first and only African samurai of Japan, which rather sets the scene. The chef successfully mixes his Malian and Senegalese roots, his fascination for Japan and, of course, his passion for Gallic food and techniques. Chef Andreas Mavrommatis, with his engaging personality, had become over the years a true ambassador of Greek cuisine in Paris, thanks to his refined and authentic cooking, based on classic French techniques combined with the best of Hellenic flavors.
