Encircled by acres of lush greenery, Vila Santa Teresa combines the luxuries of a historic private villa with a boutique hotel in the heart of the city’s bohemian SantaTeresa district. Originally built in the 1920’s, the private estate offers a window into a by-gone era while soaring above priceless views of Rio de Janeiro’s Sugarloaf Mountain and glistening Guanabara Bay. The Santa Teresa neighborhood has a privileged location, with easy access to downtown Rio de Janeiro, Botafogo Beach, Marina da Glória and a 15-minute drive from Santos Dumont Airport. The VST is close to many of the main tourist attractions, such as Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Loaf Mountain, Lapa, Ruins Park, Sélaron Staircase and cable cars. Although only 20 minutes by car from the tourist bustle of Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, it is possible to feel the privacy and tranquility of an urban retreat. Check in starts at 3pm and check out is until noon. Early check in and late check out are accommodated based on availability. A complimentary breakfast is served daily from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. We also offer our guests an exclusive driver service. The cost for this service varies depending on the car model and hours of service. For taxis, kindly ask management in advance. Please note that some experiences need to be booked at least 24h in advance. The hotel is unable to accommodate children under the age of 18.
