When it comes to the setting, the lovingly decorated vaulted cellar is really cosy, and the terrace by the castle pond is fantastic! The seasonal cuisine is in a regional vein, ranging from classic Wiener schnitzel to roasted fillet of sea bass with a rosehip foam. They are also open at lunchtime, which is excellent news.

This restaurant takes its name from the half-timbered façade of Hotel Stadt Kassel, in which it is housed. Located in the town centre, the building dates back to the 17C. The cosy interior is a harmonious blend of modern design and historical elements such as exposed wooden beams and brickwork. In this setting, contemporary seasonal cuisine is served as a three- to five-course set menu or à la carte.
