Dietmar and Elsko's bustling "Restobar" is a cosy, laid-back place where anything goes and nothing is compulsory. Drop in for a casual drink or settle in for a sumptuous dinner. The host presents an excellent wine selection at appealing prices, complementing the chef's à la carte offerings and popular surprise menu. Expect dishes such as kingfish sashimi with a punchy passion fruit and tarragon vinaigrette, medium-rare lamb with a robust lamb jus. This chef has an eye for detail and a solid grasp of the classics, occasionally drawing inspiration from Asia. Good times guaranteed!

The wooden horse heads on the walls, the impressive chandeliers that call to mind the wheels of a horse-drawn carriage, the partitions between the tables: you can't help but notice that you're dining in the former stables of Amerongen Castle. The terrace overlooking the castle and gardens is breathtaking! The cuisine is characterised by its use of locally sourced ingredients, French cooking techniques and a global outlook. The duck gyoza in a rich game broth with marinated mushrooms and crispy scallions says it all!

Druten's old school has been converted into a restaurant with a charming retro-modern location and a menu offering a choice of modern, traditional and vegetarian dishes. Although the chef will readily produce a game dish based on pheasant, he tends towards the contemporary end of the spectrum. This manifests itself in his use of seasonings from around the globe and the presentation of the dishes. A delicious lesson for any foodie!
