Guest scores & sentiment

From 140 guest reviews · multi-source · as of 2026-07-18

Guests highly praise the warm, family-run atmosphere and attentive staff. Key highlights include spacious, clean rooms, excellent dining, and a multi-area wellness center. The quiet location near nature is favored. Minor drawbacks involve walking between separate buildings in winter, occasional room lighting issues, unclear "suite" advertising, and pool area noise/towel hoarding. Overall, the experience is highly rated.

Gasthof Stanglwirt

Seasonal Cuisine, Regional Cuisine

€€

Dating back over 400 years, this traditional inn now operates as a combination of organic farm and luxury spa hotel. The regional menu takes its cue from the seasons and also includes classics such as roast chicken and Tyrolean goulash. With 65ha of grassland and 52ha of Alpine pasture, they can produce milk, quark, butter, yoghurt, cheese and bread on site. Food is served in the cosy rustic-style interior – one area has a view of the cowshed – and on a lovely terrace overlooking the garden.

Jezz Alm Resort Ellmau

Contemporary, Alpine

€€€

The location above Ellmau is spectacular! Whether in winter or summer, the unobstructed view of the valley and mountains is simply magnificent – take it in from the terrace or from inside the semi-circular dining room, through floor-to-ceiling windows. In the comfort of the chic Alpine decor, choose from an appetising modern-meets-regional à la carte menu – Austrian classics such as Wiener schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn (torn pancake dessert) can be as heartily recommended as "salmon trout, quince, blood orange, ponzu" or "jezz emperor goose, red cabbage, chestnuts, potato dumplings", for exampl
