Sardine Factory
Seafood · Bib
££
A converted sardine factory on the quayside plays host to this laid-back and admirably well-run restaurant which affords views across the harbour to East Looe. The extensive menu champions Cornish seafood across a range of flavourful, well-priced dishes that have been prepared with evident care. The cooking is appealingly straightforward and will likely include day-boat fish with a simple garnish, such as brown shrimp Grenobloise sauce. Don't forget to try the fabulous sardines too, of course, and finish with the soft serve ice cream.

North Street Kitchen
Seafood · Bib

In the busy months you might have to queue at this simple, trendy boat house conversion – but it’s well worth the wait. The menu is constantly changing as it’s informed by the freshest catch from nearby waters, with the array of seafood allowed to shine with a delicious purity thanks to the simplicity of the preparations. Fowey oysters are often a favourite, as is the signature brown crab rarebit. Owner Ethan cooks on his own and there’s an endearingly rustic, no-nonsense feel to the place.

Yamas
Greek
££
Yamas is a Greek toast to the health and wellbeing of friends and family, and it’s the authentic flavours of Greece that power this sister restaurant to the Sardine Factory on the other side of the East Looe River. Grab a seat on the terrace to make the most of the quayside location or have a drink in the first-floor bar, before delighting in classic dishes from stifado to souvlaki. The interesting all-Greek wine list offers a good selection by the glass and all at a fair price. Yamas!
