The Ascott
The Ascott Limited is a Singapore-based lodging group under CapitaLand Investment. Its roots go back to the 1984 opening of The Ascott Singapore, and the company grew through serviced-residence consolidation and acquisitions including Citadines and, in 2022, Oakwood Worldwide. CapitaLand Investment said the Oakwood deal would add about 81 properties and 15,000 units, bringing the post-acquisition portfolio to about 900 properties and more than 150,000 units across over 200 cities in 39 countries. Ascott’s portfolio is broader than Oakwood: it spans serviced apartments, hotels and social-living concepts, with brands positioned from luxury/collection and premium or upscale tiers through midscale and economy. The group’s loyalty programme is Ascott Star Rewards, shown on Discover ASR with member benefits, points earning and redemption, and participating-property support.
