PPHE Hotel Group is a hospitality real-estate owner/operator whose roots go back to Eli Papouchado’s 1989 acquisition of the Mandarin Hotel in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Today its multi-brand operating portfolio spans the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Croatia and Serbia, with 50 properties and nearly 9,400 rooms; it also includes eight Croatian campsites with about 5,600 pitches and mobile homes. PPHE says it operates most properties under Park Plaza, art’otel, Arena Hotels & Apartments and Arena Campsites, and also operates Radisson Collection and Radisson RED hotels through its strategic partnership with Radisson Hotel Group. Positioning is mainly above midscale: PPHE describes its range as from premium lifestyle to upper-upscale and upscale; art’otel is presented as an arts-led premium lifestyle collection, while Park Plaza is described as upscale and upper-upscale. PPHE participates in Radisson Rewards and Radisson Rewards for Business rather than presenting a separate group-wide loyalty programme of its own.
