Hyatt
Hyatt traces its modern history to 1957, when Jay Pritzker acquired the Hyatt House motor lodge near Los Angeles International Airport, and the company expanded internationally in 1969. Hyatt says its current footprint includes more than 1,500 hotels and all-inclusive resorts across 83 countries, spanning more than 35 brands in the World of Hyatt portfolio and loyalty program. Its positioning stretches from luxury and high-end travel experiences, including Park Hyatt, Alila and The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, to full-service urban, resort and convention hotels such as Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency, lifestyle-led names such as Andaz and JdV by Hyatt, and more practical select-service or extended-stay brands such as Hyatt Place and Hyatt House. Hyatt’s public brand architecture groups its hotels into Luxury, Lifestyle, Inclusive, Classics and Essentials, so the tracked set captures several core Hyatt names but not the full portfolio.
