Groupe Barriere
Barrière is a French family-owned hospitality, leisure and gaming group whose story begins in Deauville: the group’s history page traces its roots to the 1912 opening of the Deauville casino and Le Normandy hotel, while François André took over the Société des Hôtels et Casino de Deauville in 1927. Today the group is led by fourth-generation family representatives Joy Desseigne-Barrière and Alexandre Barrière. Its portfolio is positioned around luxury hospitality and leisure rather than midscale lodging: the corporate site describes the business as luxury hotels, casinos, restaurants and spas, and says Barrière brings together 21 exceptional hotels under Barrière Collection, 33 casinos and one gaming club under Barrière Casino, plus nearly 200 restaurants and bars. The hotel footprint spans named destinations such as Paris, Deauville, Cannes, Courchevel, Saint Barths, Marrakech and New York. The loyalty program clearly identified on official sites is Le Carré VIP, the Casinos Barrière program, with tiers including Blanc, Argent, Or and Noir.
