Where to Base
Stay in the city center near the Old Town. This area places you within walking distance of the Renaissance Ducal Castle, the Museum of Middle Pomerania, and the historic industrial sites. As a dense urban center, hotels here offer easy access to the railway junction and local amenities without needing extensive transit.
Getting Around
Słupsk is a key railway junction on the main line between the Tricity (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot) and Szczecin. For air travelers, fly into Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN) or Szczecin-Goleniów Airport (SZZ), then take a train or bus to Słupsk. Within the city, the compact size and high density make walking the most efficient way to visit museums and historical sites.
Best Season
Spring and autumn offer mild weather ideal for exploring the city’s dense historical core and parks. Summer is excellent for visiting the Museum of Middle Pomerania and enjoying outdoor spaces near the Słupia River. Winter provides a quieter experience with fewer crowds, allowing for a more intimate look at the city’s architectural heritage, including the Ducal Castle and university campus.
