A really lovely restaurant located slightly above the town… and it's not just the interior that is elegant and stylish – the food certainly holds its own. The classic/French-based dishes are subtly polished by the chef, as he brings in regional influences; this approach works particularly well with the saddle of fallow deer, for example. The best way to experience the handiwork of the kitchen is to opt for the set menu, "Le Pin". A vegetarian set menu is also available. At midday they only offer a simple lunch menu with two or three courses. Convenient: parking in front of the establishment.
WebsiteThe interior design of this restaurant is sleek and modern, in keeping with the futuristic look of the hotel that houses it on its first floor. Diners sit in an airy, high-ceilinged room lit by chic designer pendant lamps – large floor-to-ceiling windows afford magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. Choose from an appealing selection of regional and international classics, or opt for the tasting menu. Full of flavour and depth, the dishes are testament to the skill of the kitchen team.
WebsiteThe Theatre Hotel not only wows overnight guests with its chic design, but it also offers an interesting dining experience based on an attractive modern concept. In the open kitchen, which can be seen from all over the restaurant, the team puts together modern dishes with light international accents. On the menu you can read for example "potato gnocchi, guanciale, whey" or "duck, chestnut, jerusalem artichoke, mandarin". There are three set menus, each building on the last with an increasing number of courses. The non-alcoholic beverage pairing is also recommended. In addition there is a good
WebsiteThis on-trend, modern bistro concept – including a chef's table and open kitchen complete with Jopser grill – lies within the historical walls of a military bakery with lofty vaulted ceilings. The flavoursome cuisine is creative and seasonal, with an appealing à la carte menu, plus an extra dish at lunchtime. It's not easy to choose between dishes such as "Grilled oyster mushroom, cream cheese, bread chips", "Chickpea tofu, hoisin, yuzu, chard" and "Venison, rosehip, brussels sprout, semolina". Tip: The dishes also lend themselves to sharing, so you can try different things. Don't miss out on
WebsiteThis villa in a somewhat secluded location in the mountains is home to a small hotel with seven rooms, a spa and a terrific outdoor event area – and this elegant modern restaurant. In the beautiful light and airy glass pavilion with a round floor plan, ambitious contemporary dishes are served à la carte or as a seven-course set menu, with wine pairing on request.
WebsiteCalling all steak lovers! The quality of the meat served here is fantastic, and the perfectly cooked premium steaks, as well as the sauces and side dishes are testament to the skill of the kitchen team. Tip: The cuts are rather large, which makes them ideal for sharing – consider booking for a small group. Adorned with rustic-looking decorative features, the decor is stylish and has an urban feel – the focal point is the open kitchen with its impressive barbecue. This place draws plenty of diners, who receive attentive service from the front-of-house team.
WebsiteSituated within the alpine resort of the same name, the views at this charmingly run restaurant are a serious draw. Whether seen from the terrace or the dining room, the sweeping countryside vistas are a treat. The cooking provides a worthy accompaniment to the setting with both an à la carte featuring aged Polish meats and a tasting menu showcasing the chef’s love of the region, via complex, occasionally nostalgic dishes based around prime local produce.
WebsiteThere’s a characterful industrial-meets-traditional feel to this restaurant housed on the lower floor of an imposing 19th-century manor house. Smartly dressed tables sit within a red-brick room with vaulted ceilings and exposed pipework, while modern artwork enlivens the walls and mature gardens surround the building. The dishes are equally impressive to look at and deliver on flavour too, with excellent produce at the heart. Their take on a tiramisu is a real winner.
