Where to Base
For hotel travelers, staying in or near the historic center is recommended. This area provides easy walking access to the famous hot springs and colonial-era buildings. Given the town's small scale, having a central base minimizes the need for taxis or rental cars, enhancing the relaxed experience.
Airport Connection
Lambari does not have its own airport. Travelers typically fly into major hubs like Belo Horizonte (CNF) or São Paulo (GRU) and then take a bus or private car for approximately 3 to 4 hours. Pre-arranging ground transport is advisable due to limited public transit options late at night.
Best Season
The best time to visit is during the spring (September-November) and autumn (March-May) when temperatures are mild. While the hot springs are accessible year-round, pleasant weather enhances the experience of exploring the town's historic streets and surrounding nature. Summer can be rainy, and winter nights may be cool.
